What is Hastelloy B3?
Hastelloy B-3 is a nickel-molybdenum alloy that offers excellent resistance to pitting, corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, and better thermal stability than alloy B-2. In addition, this nickel-steel alloy offers excellent resistance to tool mark and heat affected zone corrosion.
What is the service temperature limit for Hastelloy C22?
C-22 alloy should not be used above 700°C (1250°F) due to the formation of deleterious phases above this temperature.
What is the difference between C22 and C276?
Both C-276 and C-22 offer excellent corrosion resistance-far superior to any stainless steel-however, C-22 is commercially available in sanitary or high-purity tubing, while C276 is not. C-22 and C-276 offer roughly the same protection in reducing environments.
