This alloy contains approximately 72% nickel, 16% chromium, and 8% iron, along with small amounts of other elements such as manganese, silicon, and carbon. Inconel Alloy 600 is particularly resistant to oxidation and corrosion in high-temperature environments, making it suitable for use in a variety of industrial applications.
Seamless pipes are manufactured by hot working a solid billet in a piercing mill or a rotary forging press to create a hollow tube, which is then further processed through a series of rolling and stretching operations to achieve the desired dimensions and wall thickness. The seamless construction ensures that the pipe has no weld seams, which can be potential weak points in the material.
