INCOLOY 825 Nickel Alloy Welded Steel Pipe
INCOLOY 825 welded steel pipe is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy steel pipe with extremely high corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing environments. It is renowned for its excellent resistance to acids (such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid), as well as its resistance to chlorides, pitting corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Due to its strength and durability, this steel pipe is widely used in demanding fields such as chemical engineering, marine systems, pollution control, and oil and gas extraction.

What are the applications of Inconel 825?
Inconel 825 alloy exhibits excellent corrosion resistance under various conditions, including both general and localized corrosion, making it widely applicable. Its applications include chemical processing, pollution control, oil and gas extraction, acid production, pickling operations, nuclear fuel reprocessing, and radioactive waste treatment.

INCOLOY 825 alloy (UNS N08825, W.Nr. 2.4858) is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with added molybdenum, copper, and titanium. The nickel content is sufficient to resist chloride stress corrosion cracking. Nickel, molybdenum, and copper work synergistically to give it excellent corrosion resistance in reducing environments such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. Molybdenum also helps improve its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The chromium content endows the alloy with resistance to corrosion from a variety of oxidizing agents, such as nitric acid, nitrates, and oxidizing salts.

Machining and Welding
Weldability: This pipe is easy to weld using common welding methods such as GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and SMAW (manual welding).
Welding Best Practices: Proper welding techniques include pre-cleaning, controlling heat input, using a protective weld bead, and post-weld stress relief to ensure optimal weld performance.
Other Machining: This material is also easy to hot and cold work, allowing it to be easily machined into various shapes.
