Inconel 600 Flange
Gnee Steel
Different Types of Inconel 600 Flange Applications
Inconel 600 flanges, due to their high nickel, chromium, and iron content, offer excellent strength and oxidation resistance, making them widely used in high-temperature, corrosive environments such as chemical processing, oil and gas, marine, and aerospace. Common flange types, such as butt-weld flanges, slip-on flanges, blind flanges, and socket-weld flanges, are widely used to create secure, leak-tight connections or easily accessible connections in piping systems.

What is Inconel 600 made of?
Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy that offers good oxidation resistance at high temperatures and good resistance to carburizing and chloride-containing environments. Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy designed for use in temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 2000°F (1093°C).

Common Inconel 600 Flange Types and Applications
Blind Flange:
Used to seal or plug the end of a pipe or vessel, providing a secure closure for pressure vessels and piping systems.
Neck Weld Flange:
Designed for high-pressure applications, it utilizes a full-penetration butt weld, providing a strong and durable connection.
Slip-On Flange:
Easy to install and position, suitable for low-pressure applications, and often used with fillet welds.
Socket Weld Flange:
This flange is suitable for small-diameter pipes. It features a socket that can be inserted into the pipe end for fillet welding, providing a secure, flush connection.
Lap Joint Flange:
This flange is often used in systems that require frequent disassembly because bolt holes can be easily aligned by rotating the flange ring.
Orifice Flange:
These flanges are used in applications where flow measurement is required and are used to mount orifice plates for flow metering.
