Monel 400 tube
Monel 400 heat exchanger/condenser tubes are also known as UNS N04400 heat exchangers/condensers. These heat exchangers are copper-nickel alloy products with good toughness and strength. This grade of heat exchanger has good ductility and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Moreover, it can reach up to 540 degrees Celsius in oxidizing atmosphere and high temperatures at reduced temperatures. Basically, these heat exchangers/condensers are used to transfer thermal energy from hotter gas/liquid to cooler gas/liquid. Therefore, heat exchangers/condensers transfer both liquid solutions and gases. The heat exchangers are easy to hot work and easy to cold form. Moreover, they are annealed at 870 degrees to 980 degrees Celsius and welded by various welding procedures.
