K403 alloy is added with about 9% W and Mo, and is combined with about 5% Co for comprehensive solid solution strengthening. On the basis of sufficient solid solution strengthening of the alloy, about 8% Al+Ti is used for precipitation strengthening, so that the amount of Y: phase reaches 58% ~ 59%. At the same time, trace amounts of B, Zr and Ce are used for grain boundary strengthening, so it has higher high temperature strength. Compared with similar nickel-based alloys, the cobalt content is lower, only about 5%, which is generally 5% to 10% lower. At the same time, it does not contain precious metal elements and is cheaper. However, K403 alloy has low Cr content and poor oxidation resistance and hot corrosion resistance, so K403 alloy blades need to use protective coatings.
