Large caliber Monel 400 ss Pipe

Monel 400 Seamless Pipe (also known as WNR 2.4360 Seamless Pipe) has low corrosion rates in fast-flowing brackish or seawater, excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in most freshwaters, and tolerance to a wide range of corrosive conditions, making it widely used in marine applications and other non-oxidizing chloride solutions. UNS N04400 Seamless Pipe is particularly resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when degassed.

Monel 400 or alloy 400 is a solid solution alloy, whose constitution is made up of nickel and copper. While nickel consists of about 67%, the inclusion of copper in the chemistry of Monel 400 Pipe stands at about 23%. As typical for most nickel containing alloys, this grade tends to have high strength even at an elevated temperature. Though the use of the Monel 400 Seamless Pipe is not recommended exceeding a temperature of 1000° F.
