Monel 400 is a copper-nickel alloy with small amounts of iron, manganese, silicon, and carbon. Monel 400 sheets are highly ductile and corrosion resistant in a wide range of corrosive media. These sheets can work at elevated temperatures up to 1000F. Nickel alloy 400 sheets have good tensile strength and mechanical properties. Hot rolling or cold rolling processes produce most of the materials in industrial settings. 2.4360 Monel 400 hot rolled sheets are produced by treating these sheets at extreme temperatures. Monel Alloy K500 Plates consist of nickel (67%), copper (30%), iron (2%) and other trace elements such as manganese (1%) and silicon (0.5%). They have excellent mechanical properties such as high strength-to-weight ratio, low thermal conductivity, excellent oxidation resistance, good formability and good weldability. In addition to these features, Monel K500 Plates resist stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion in most alkaline media and organic acids such as acetic or formic acid.
