Incoloy alloy 945 (UNS N09945) is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant alloy designed for demanding applications in the oil and gas industry. The properties of this age-hardened nickel-iron-chromium alloy are enhanced by its inclusion of molybdenum, copper, niobium, titanium and aluminum. The alloy's nickel content is sufficient to resist chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. The combination of nickel with molybdenum and copper also gives 945 alloy excellent resistance to general corrosion by reducing media. Molybdenum also has the ability to resist localized corrosion (pitting and crevice corrosion). The alloy's chromium resists oxidation. Niobium, titanium and aluminum contribute to age hardening during heat treatment. Their interaction forms the precipitation of γ' and γ double' phases, which enhances the strength of the alloy.
GH4738 is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy precipitated and hardened by the γ′ phase. It has good gas corrosion resistance, high yield strength and fatigue performance, good process plasticity, and stable structure. It is widely used in rotating parts of aerospace engines and the operating temperature is not higher than 815℃. It can produce cold-rolled and hot-rolled plates, pipes, strips, wires and forgings, castings and fasteners.
