Chemical Composition and Properties
UNS N10629 alloy, also known as Alloy 825, is a super austenitic alloy based on nickel and iron, mainly containing:
Nickel (Ni): about 40%
Iron (Fe): about 30%
Chromium (Cr): 20%-23%
Molybdenum (Mo): 3%-4%
Copper (Cu): 1.5%-3%
Titanium (Ti): 1%-1.75%
This unique combination of elements gives UNS N10629 excellent corrosion resistance, especially to chloride-induced localized corrosion (such as pitting and crevice corrosion) and stress corrosion cracking.
