Monel K500 Alloy bright Bar
Monel K500 material is a nickel-copper alloy that combines the excellent corrosion resistance characteristics of Monel 400 with increased strength and hardness. These enhanced properties, strength and hardness are obtained by adding aluminum and titanium to the nickel-copper base and heat treatment for precipitation generation (commonly known as age hardening or aging). In the age hardened condition, Monel K-500 is more susceptible to stress corrosion cracking than Monel 400 in certain environments. Alloy K-500 has approximately three times the yield strength and approximately two times the tensile strength compared to Alloy 400.
