All the stainless steel grades 304, 304L, and 304H are chemically compounded with the components like chromium, phosphorus, silicon, manganese, carbon, sulphur, molybdenum, and nickel. Besides other components chromium, molybdenum, and nickel are the major contributors in the whole composition. Hence, it exhibits tremendous yield as well as tensile strengths, great temperature resistance, and elongation range. In general, all three grades are being elongated through the maximum limit of 40%. Also, they have the highest melting point at 1400 degrees Celsius (or 2550 degrees Fahrenheit) except for the 304H. Grade 304H has a melting range from 2550 to 2590 degrees Fahrenheit.
SS 304/304L/304H Sheets & Plates are extremely utilized by the paper and pulp industries, textile equipment manufacturer, condensers in fossil fuel and nuclear fuel generation stations, and petrochemical processing equipment manufacturers. The theory behind the specifications of these grade sheets and plates is governed by the ASTM A240 and ASME SA240 standards.
They are highly applied in the manufacturing of heat exchangers and chemical procedure vessels, tankers, or storage. They are preferred to use for the conveyor belts because of their easy availability and cost-friendly nature. Grade 304 is highly demanded in the fields of food processing and handling industries as they are anti-corrosive as well as high-temperature adapters. These sheets and plates are being used diversely in the architectural and constructional business for its high pressure and stress absorbance qualities.
