321H Stainless Steel Plate

Alloy 321 (UNS S32100) is a titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steel plate with good overall corrosion resistance. It has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 - 1500°F (427 - 816°C). The alloy is resistant to oxidation up to 1500°F (816°C) and has higher creep and stress fracture properties than alloys 304 and 304L. It also has good durability at low temperatures.

Alloy 321H (UNS S 32109) stainless steel plate is the higher carbon (0.04 - 0.10) version of the alloy. It is developed for increased creep resistance and for higher strength at temperatures above 1000oF (537°C). In most cases, the carbon content of the plate allows for dual certification.

Alloy 321 stainless steel plate cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but only by cold treatment. It can be easily welded and machined using standard manufacturing practices.

321H (S32109) has good corrosion resistance, can resist the erosion of strong corrosive media such as nitric acid, sulfuric acid, chloride, etc., and has excellent heat resistance and high temperature strength. In addition, 321H also has good toughness and weldability. The tensile strength of 321H is 515MPa, the yield strength is 205MPa, the elongation is 40%, and the hardness value of 321H stainless steel is HB200.

321H is used in high temperature, high pressure and corrosive environments, such as oil refining, chemical industry, aerospace and nuclear industry. In addition, 321H is often used in the manufacture of equipment and components such as storage tanks, high-temperature furnaces, heat exchangers, pipes and catalytic converters.
