Inconel602ca is a high-carbon nickel-chromium-iron alloy with added micro-alloying elements titanium and zirconium as well as aluminum and yttrium. Surface oxidation or scale is usually provided under solution annealed conditions. This alloy is characterized by excellent high temperature creep properties. Excellent oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures, even under cycling conditions. It also has very good resistance to high temperature corrosion and carburization, oxidizing/chlorinated media, and in metal dust conditions.

Inconel602ca alloy is the most oxidation resistant/high strength nickel alloy available. It is capable of use in extreme temperatures up to 2200°F (1200°C). For thermal processing applications requiring minimal product contamination, the antioxidant/scale properties of Inconel 602ca are highly desirable. The high chromium content, as well as the additions of aluminum and yttrium, give the alloy a tightly adherent oxide scale.

Higher carbon content and alloying additions of titanium and zirconium lead to higher creep rupture strengths. Inconel 602ca offers 150% of the strength of other commonly used nickel alloys such as Alloy 600.
