What material is C 22?
HASTELLOY C-22 alloy (UNS N06022) is a well-known and proven nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy material that is primarily characterized by its resistance to oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals and its ability to prevent pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.

Its high chromium content makes it much more resistant to oxidation than its standard alloy, C-276, and provides excellent corrosion resistance to chloride-induced pitting, an insidious and unpredictable form of corrosion to which stainless steels are susceptible.
Like other nickel alloys, HASTELLOY C-22 alloy is very ductile and has excellent weldability, making it easy to process into industrial components. It is available in plate, sheet, strip, billet, bar, wire, tube, and covered electrodes. Typical chemical process industry (CPI) applications include reactors, heat exchangers, and columns.
