3: Heating element tube - very good mechanical properties

For applications in environments up to 500°C, the alloy is supplied in the annealed condition.

Corrosion resistance

800 is resistant to many corrosive media. In aqueous corrosive environments, the corrosion resistance is equivalent to that of austenitic stainless steel. The high nickel content makes it resistant to stress corrosion cracking, and the high chromium content makes it better resistant to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion. The alloy has good resistance to nitrate and organic corrosion, but has limited corrosion resistance in sulfur* and salt*. In addition to the possibility of pitting corrosion in halides, it has good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts. It has excellent resistance to oxidation and carbonization atmospheres and environmental properties where oxidation and carbonization occur alternately at high temperatures. The corrosion resistance of hydrogen, nitriding and sulfur-containing gases is also very good. In the latter application environment, the performance is better in oxidizing conditions than in reducing conditions.

800H can resist corrosion from corrosive media. Its higher nickel content makes it highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking under aqueous corrosive conditions. The high chromium content gives it better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. The alloy has good resistance to nitrate* and organic* corrosion, but has limited corrosion resistance in sulfur* and salt*. In addition to the possibility of pitting corrosion in halides, it has good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts. It also has good corrosion resistance in water, steam as well as steam, air, carbon dioxide and mixtures.
