The properties of nickel alloys are relevant in a variety of applications. Hastelloy round bar is a molybdenum-rich nickel-chromium high-temperature alloy. The tungsten and iron contents are carefully controlled, and the carbon content is extremely low. The low carbon content inhibits carbide precipitation during heat treatment and welding.

This means that in welded systems, the metal offers high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Compared to Hastelloy C276 round bar, other materials may experience reduced weld strength after welding, making it more corrosion-resistant. This material offers excellent resistance to general corrosion, including stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion.

Hastelloy C-276 is a leading global corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy. C276 alloy effectively suppresses the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone in the as-welded condition, making it suitable for most chemical applications. It also offers excellent resistance to pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It's no surprise that Hastelloy C276 round bar is widely used in numerous commercial applications, as its wide range of long-lasting properties further enhances its performance.

The high molybdenum content enhances its resistance to pitting and cracking corrosion. This metal is used in wastewater treatment systems when other metals cannot survive the harsh conditions.
