Inconel 718 alloy plate, also known as GH4169 high temperature resistant alloy plate, is a high performance nickel-based alloy widely used in high temperature and high pressure environments such as aviation, aerospace, and energy. It has excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and good mechanical properties, and is an ideal material for manufacturing high-load, high-temperature components such as aircraft engine parts and gas turbine blades.
Heat treatment and manufacturing process of Inconel 718
Heat treatment is a crucial part in the manufacturing process of Inconel 718.
Dissolution heat treatment: The alloy is heated to 1040-1100°C to promote the formation of solid solution in the alloy, thereby improving its overall performance.
Aging treatment: By aging treatment at 720-760°C, the γ' phase is formed, thereby improving the strength and hardness of the material.
Annealing treatment: By annealing at low temperature, the internal stress is reduced and the plasticity and ductility of the material are improved.
Welding process
Inconel 718 has good welding performance, but the heat input and welding speed during welding need to be strictly controlled to avoid excessive heat-affected zone. Commonly used welding methods include argon arc welding and laser welding.

Key properties of Inconel 718
1. High temperature resistance
Inconel 718 can work for a long time in a high temperature environment of 700-800°C without performance degradation. This makes it one of the most important materials in high temperature applications, especially in the fields of aero engines and gas turbines. The γ' phase precipitation phase structure of the alloy effectively improves its creep and fatigue resistance at high temperatures.
2. Corrosion resistance
Inconel 718 has excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, and can resist corrosion from a variety of acidic media, including sulfuric acid, chlorides, etc.
3. Mechanical properties
Inconel 718 has excellent strength, hardness and toughness, especially at high temperatures, it can still maintain high yield strength and tensile strength. In addition, it has good fatigue and creep resistance, which is essential for components that are subjected to high temperatures and high loads for a long time.
