Inconel 718 plate offers excellent fatigue, radiation, oxidation, and corrosion resistance, as well as good machinability and weldability. It can be manufactured into a variety of complex parts. It has found widespread application within the aforementioned temperature range in aerospace, nuclear power, the oil industry, and extrusion dies.
718 alloy plate (also referred to as Inconel 718 flat by Specialty Metals) is a nickel-chromium alloy that, after heat treatment, exhibits high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. It is easily machined into complex parts and exhibits excellent resistance to post-weld cracking. Inconel 718 coils operate effectively within a temperature range of -423 to 1300°F.
