Inconel Alloy 600 Sheet
Inconel 600 (AMS 5540) is a nickel-chromium alloy designed for use at cryogenic temperatures and elevated temperatures up to 2000°F (1093°C). The high nickel content of alloy 600 provides good resistance to reducing environments, as well as exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, while the chromium content provides resistance to weaker oxidizing conditions. It exhibits high strength and is oxidation resistant, and while it cannot be precipitation hardened, cold working of alloy 600 materials can considerably harden them. This material is often used in the chemical processing, heat treating industry, soap manufacturing, electrical, nuclear and aeronautical fields.
