2.4858 alloy has good corrosion resistance in various media, such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, HCl, HNO3, Na2SO3, organic acids and compounds. Alkali metals such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and HCl solutions. Of particular note is the poor corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid. 2.4858 alloy cannot be formed below 650 degrees. The alloy is suitable for stable heat treatment at 940 degrees, and intermediate annealing is preferably higher than 1050 degrees. For welding, use nickel-based welding wire such as: 00cr22ni61mo9NB.
2.4858 alloy has a wide range of corrosion resistance and is commonly used in the chemical processing industry, hot seawater and hydrometallurgy. It is mainly used in heat exchangers, pipes, valves and water pumps that handle hot sulfuric acid, chloride-containing solutions, Na2SO3 and other environments. etc., it is also widely used in the fields of wood pulp extractors and deep source gas wells in the paper industry.
