Excellent corrosion resistance: UNS N10675 (Hastelloy B-3) alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to corrosion in all concentrations and temperatures of hydrochloric acid (a mixture of hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid). It can also effectively resist corrosion in reducing environments such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, formic acid, acetic acid and other non-oxidizing media. This alloy performs well in handling mixed acids and complex chemical environments, making it an ideal choice for chemical processing equipment.
Physical properties: Hastelloy B-3 alloy has a high density (about 8.1 g/cm³) and a low thermal expansion coefficient, which helps to maintain the stability of the material when the temperature changes. Its melting point ranges from 1323-1371℃, showing good weldability and can be processed by various welding techniques.
Chemical composition: The main components of UNS N10675 alloy include nickel, molybdenum, and smaller amounts of iron, chromium, tungsten and other elements. Nickel provides basic corrosion resistance and strength, while molybdenum greatly improves the material's resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Tungsten further increases the alloy's stability and corrosion resistance in specific chemical environments.
