Zirconium(Zr) alloy is made up of over 95% zirconium and less than 2% tin, niobium, iron, chromium, nickel and other metals to improve mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Zirconium alloys has good corrosion resistance especially in 300 ~ 400 ℃ high temperature and high-pressure steam and water, moderate mechanical properties, low thermal neutron absorption cross-section of atoms, in addition, zirconium can resistant to many kinds of acid, alkali and salt, and have a strong affinity with oxygen, nitrogen and other gases, has been used in water-cooled nuclear reactors and corrosion-resistant parts and pharmaceutical machinery parts. In addition, it is used in pharmaceuticals, heating,water supply systems, paper & pulp and other industries.
