GH3030 is a nickel-based (approximately 80% Ni, 20% Cr) solid solution strengthened high-temperature alloy bar, specifically designed for high-temperature oxidation resistance and strength, especially suitable for temperature ranges below 800℃-1100℃. It possesses high plasticity, good resistance to thermal fatigue, and excellent weldability. It is commonly used in turbine engine combustion chambers and industrial furnace components.

Refining: Double vacuum melting (VIM + ESR) removes trace impurities (P, S, Pb, Bi) to prevent hot brittleness during forging.

Uniform Forging: High-pressure forging breaks down dendrites, ensuring uniform and fine grain size (Grade 5 or finer).

Strict Solution Treatment: Precise 1120°C solution treatment followed by rapid water quenching ensures optimal corrosion resistance.

100% Ultrasonic Testing: All bars with a diameter exceeding 20mm undergo ultrasonic testing (Grade A/B) to guarantee the absence of internal voids or inclusions.

Q: How does the machinability of GH3030 compare to stainless steel?
A: GH3030 is a high-nickel alloy, meaning it has a higher work-hardening rate than 304/316 stainless. We recommend using carbide tools with lower cutting speeds and high-pressure coolant. It is significantly easier to machine than GH4169 (Inconel 718).

 

Q: Can I use GH3030 bars for forging? What is the temperature range?
A: Absolutely. GH3030 has excellent plasticity. The recommended initial forging temperature is 1180°C, and the final forging should stay above 900°C. It is remarkably resistant to "overburning" compared to more complex superalloys.

 

Q: What is the equivalent of GH3030 in the US or Europe?
A: GH3030 is functionally equivalent to Nimonic 75 (UNS N06075) and 2.4951. While minor element tolerances vary slightly between GB/T, ASTM, and BS standards, we can certify our material to multiple standards simultaneously.
