Stainless steel is used to produce various products, sheets and plates being one of them. They are categorized into different grades and those grades in turn have various high and low versions of elements. Stainless Steel 321 Sheet is one such sheet that is stabilized using titanium. AMS 5510 Sheet offers good general corrosion resistance.

321 Stainless Steel Sheet also displays excellent low temperature toughness. SA240 Tp321 Rolling Plate can be hardened only by cold working. Heat treatment is not effective in hardening SA240 321 Clad Plate. Applications such as aerospace, chemical processing, expansion joints, food processing, and waste treatment use AISI 321 EN 1.4541 Rolling Sheet on a large scale.
UNS S32100 Plate has a melting range of 1390 degrees C to 1446 degrees C. ASTM A240 321 Perforated Plate has been designed to be used in the chromium carbide precipitation range. This is because unlike other grades that are prone to intergranular corrosion A240 Tp 321 Hot rolled Plate does not face intergranular corrosion.
321 Stainless Steel Polished Plate can be used in a diluted form of organic acid at moderate temperature. Moreover, 321 2b Stainless Steel Sheet can also be used in pure phosphoric acid at low temperature and at elevated temperature in a 10% diluted solution. In hydrocarbon service 321 Stainless Steel Coil can resist polythionic acid stress corrosion cracking.
Furthermore, ASTM A240 Type 321 Shim Stock can also be used in fluoride and chloride free caustic solution at a moderate temperature. 321 2b Stainless Steel Flat Sheet fail to display performance in chloride solution even in small concentration. A240 Tp321 Slit Coilis said to be less machinable due to the cold working.
