Hastelloy C276: Pioneer in Corrosion Resistance in The Industrial Field

Hastelloy C276: Pioneer in corrosion resistance in the industrial field

Nickel-based alloys are widely used as superalloys around the world and are known for their strength, ductility and corrosion resistance. Even under high temperature conditions, these alloys maintain strong performance. Today, we will take a deep look at a nickel-based alloy called Hastelloy C276, which is a superalloy composed of nickel, molybdenum and chromium and is considered to be the most versatile corrosion-resistant alloy currently available.

Characteristics and Applications of Hastelloy C276

What is Hastelloy C276?
Hastelloy C276 is a superalloy composed of nickel, molybdenum and chromium. According to the information, this alloy is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the heat-affected zone of welding, so it is suitable for most chemical process applications under welding conditions. Hastelloy C276 has excellent resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1900°F, and can cope with a variety of chemical environments.
