The temperature of hot-processed products should be 982 degrees, and the temperature of cold-processed products should be 1038 degrees, but the heating time should be shortened as much as possible. Most uses of Monel K500 alloy are the same as 400, but if there are applications other than 400, this alloy can be used. Monel400 is a nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloy that has been used in industry for a long time. It has good comprehensive properties and a wide range of uses. It has become an indispensable alloy because of its good corrosion resistance. Its chemical composition is mainly composed of Ni, 30% Cu and a small amount. Composed of Fe (1%-2%).

Corrosion resistance of Monel400: The corrosion resistance of Monel400 is generally superior to that of nickel and copper. It is more resistant to corrosion from reducing media than pure nickel, and is more resistant to corrosion from oxidizing media than pure copper. It has good performance in fresh water, sea water and light salt water. With its corrosion resistance, he can manufacture propellers and shafts, pump shafts, impellers and condensing heat exchangers and structural parts of the splash zone of oil production platforms. The corrosion resistance to H2SO4, H3PO4 and carbon is very good. In particular, it has good corrosion resistance against fluorine gas, H2SO4, Na2SO3, HF and their derivatives. But it is not available for H3PO4 and organic acids. HIC acid in HCl is only suitable for room temperature and concentration less than 15%. At the same time, it is more corrosion-resistant than copper-based alloys in seawater, has good resistance to seawater corrosion and chemical corrosion, and has strong resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. It is one of the few materials that can withstand HF. It is corrosion-resistant in H2SO4 with a concentration less than 85%. In most cases of water corrosion, not only the corrosion resistance is good, but also pitting corrosion, stress corrosion, etc. are rarely found, and the corrosion rate is less than 0.025mm/a. The highest temperature for continuous operation in air is generally around 600°C. In high-temperature steam, the corrosion rate is less than 0.026mm/a. Due to the high nickel content of the alloy, it can withstand corrosion under anhydrous ammonia and ammoniation conditions below 585°C. It has good corrosion resistance to chlorine salt, sulfide salt, HNO3 salt, carbonate, H2SO4 aluminum, H2SO4 ammonium, NH4Cl, and zinc chloride.
