What is the difference between Hastelloy c22 and Hastelloy C276?

C22 vs C276 Chemical composition:
C22: The main components of Hastelloy C22 include nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), chromium (Cr) and iron (Fe). In addition, it also contains small amounts of elements such as tungsten (W) and titanium (Ti).
C276: The main components of Hastelloy C276 are also nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), chromium (Cr), but compared to C22, it contains a higher molybdenum content and also contains a certain proportion of tungsten (W) and iron (Fe).

C22 vs C276 Corrosion resistance:
C22: C22 has a wider range of corrosion resistance, especially in strong acid, strong alkali and chloride environments. It has good corrosion resistance in media such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, chlorides, sulfides, etc.
C276: C276 also has excellent corrosion resistance, but compared to C22, its corrosion resistance under certain specific conditions may be slightly inferior, especially in chlorine-containing media.

C22 vs C276 Oxidation resistance:
C22: C22 alloy has good oxidation resistance and can form a stable oxide layer in high temperature environment to protect the matrix from oxidation.
C276: C276 also has good oxidation resistance, but it may be slightly insufficient under extreme high temperature conditions, and care should be taken to prevent oxidation.

C22 vs C276 Processing performance:
C22: C22 is relatively easy to process, including forming, welding, cutting and other processes. It has good hot workability and cold workability.
C276: C276 also has good processing performance and can be manufactured into various shapes and structures through various processing methods.

C22 vs C276 Cost:
C22: Due to its wider corrosion resistance and wider application range, the cost of C22 is usually slightly higher than that of C276.
C276: C276 has a relatively low cost and is suitable for some applications where corrosion resistance is not so stringent.
