What are the physical properties of Inconel 718?

Gnee Steel is a professional manufacturer of Inconel 718 products. Gnee Steel's 718 alloy products are packaged in various ways, including: steel strapping: pipes with an outer diameter not exceeding 3 inches are typically bundled together with polypropylene film to prevent rusting during sea transport, then secured with steel straps; wooden crates/crates: pipes are usually packaged in wooden crates or crates for protection during transport, especially for longer or larger diameter pipes; seaworthy export packaging: suppliers typically use standard seaworthy export packaging methods, which may include various materials and techniques to protect the pipes during transport; and tarpaulin packaging: to prevent rainwater, seawater, etc., from seeping into the export wooden crate packaging during transport. Gnee Steel specializes in the production and sales of alloy materials. Gnee Steel's products are widely used in aerospace, chemical, power, automotive, and nuclear energy fields, and customized alloy material solutions can be provided according to customer needs. For alloy material price inquiries or to obtain customized alloy material solutions, please feel free to contact us at ss@gneesteel.com for a quote.

What are the physical properties of Inconel 718?

Inconel 718 is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium-iron-based superalloy (containing 50-55% nickel and 17-21% chromium), renowned for its excellent stability at temperatures up to 700°C (1300°F). Its key physical properties include a density of approximately 8.19-8.23 g/cm³ (0.296 lb/in²), a melting point range of 1260-1336°C (2300-2440°F), and a magnetic permeability of less than 1.002. It exhibits high tensile strength, good ductility, and excellent resistance to post-weld cracking.

What type of metal is Inconel 718?

Nickel-chromium alloy

Inconel 718 is a precipitation-hardening nickel-chromium alloy containing significant amounts of iron, niobium, and molybdenum, as well as small amounts of aluminum and titanium.
