Inconel 600 pipe is a chromium-nickel alloy suitable for high-temperature environments up to 2000°F and low-temperature environments. This alloy is resistant to immersion environments and chloride pressure corrosion due to its high nickel content, and is resistant to less reactive conditions due to its high chromium content. Furthermore, alloy 600 seamless pipe is a nickel-chromium alloy that offers good corrosion resistance at high temperatures and rapidly resists chloride pressure corrosion, high-purity water corrosion, and corrosive corrosion.
What temperatures can Inconel alloy 600 withstand?
The hot working temperature range for Inconel alloy 600 is 1600–2250°F (870–1230°C). High-intensity working requires temperatures between 1900–2250°F (1040–1230°C), while light working can be performed at temperatures as low as 1600°F (870°C).
