ASTM B407 UNS N08800 Nickel Alloy Steel Cold Drawn Tube
ASTM B407 UNS N08800 tubing is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy known as Incoloy 800, supplied as cold-drawn tubing. It offers excellent resistance to high-temperature corrosion, oxidation, and carburization. It is widely used in the petrochemical, power generation, and heat treatment industries, particularly in applications with operating temperatures up to 1100°F (approximately 593°C). Cold-drawn tubing offers greater precision and strength than hot-finished tubing of the same grade.

What are the specifications for Incoloy 800 alloy?
Incoloy 800HT alloy has a chemical composition within the range of 800H alloy and requires a heat treatment temperature of at least 2100°F (1149°C). Its carbon content is 0.06% to 0.10% (compared to 0.05% to 0.10% for 800H alloy), and its aluminum and titanium content is 0.85% to 1.20% (compared to 0.30% to 1.20% for 800H alloy).
ASTM B407 UNS N08810, Incoloy 800, is a nickel-iron-chromium high-temperature alloy seamless pipe designed for extremely high temperatures and corrosive environments. Its chemical composition is based on nickel, chromium, and iron, with trace elements such as aluminum and titanium added to enhance oxidation and carburization resistance.
This alloy maintains excellent oxidation resistance, carburization resistance, and mechanical strength at temperatures up to 1100°C, and exhibits good resistance to sulfide and chloride stress corrosion cracking.
N08810 pipe is widely used in critical equipment such as petrochemical cracking furnaces, ethylene cracking tubes, nuclear power heat exchangers, and thermal power boilers, particularly in high-temperature oxidizing, carburizing, or sulfiding environments.
Compared to traditional stainless steel, it offers superior high-temperature strength, thermal fatigue resistance, and corrosion resistance; at a lower cost than high-nickel alloys, it offers an ideal balance of performance and cost.
N08810 pipe provides long-term, stable service in environments containing chloride ions, sulfides, or acidic media.
