AL-6XN (N08367|25-6HN) super austenitic stainless steel
AL-6XN (UNSN08367) is a super austenitic stainless steel with excellent resistance to chloride ion pitting and crevice corrosion. As a corrosion-resistant alloy with good cost performance, its comprehensive corrosion resistance has greatly improved compared to 316L. At the same time, its corrosion resistance is close to other corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys such as C-276, and its cost advantage is obvious. Because a significant nitrogen component is added to the alloy, the AL-6XN material has higher tensile strength than conventional austenitic stainless steel (such as 304, 316, 317, etc.), while maintaining excellent material toughness and Impact strength. The allowable stress value specified in the ASME standard is 40% higher than that of AL-6XN 316L and nearly twice that of copper-nickel alloy. Typical working conditions: 60% sulfuric acid, below 80℃, annual corrosion rate <0.1mm.

Features:
AL-6XN (UNS N08367) is a highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel containing high chromium and high molybdenum. It maintains good corrosion resistance even in harsh environments such as high temperature, sea water or flue gas desulfurization. It is a highly economical stainless steel with high corrosion resistance that is comparable to Hastelloy and titanium plates in certain environments.
Because AL-6XN contains high concentrations of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen, it can exhibit extremely excellent pitting corrosion resistance and crevice corrosion resistance even in chloride environments. In corrosive environments where it is difficult for duplex stainless steel to maintain corrosion resistance, AL-6XN can give full play to its excellent corrosion resistance.
Product Usage:
Chemical containers and pipelines, equipment systems of offshore oil and gas platforms, condensers, heat exchangers and pipeline systems in contact with seawater or crude oil, filter presses, storage tanks and pressure rollers in the pulp bleaching process, thermal power plants, steel plants, Flue gas desulfurization equipment (FGD) of petrochemical enterprises, crude oil distillation towers and packing, desalination equipment and pumps, nuclear power plant servo water pipeline systems, transformer cases exposed to the marine environment, pharmaceutical equipment (for the purity of drugs), food production equipment.
Supporting welding materials:
It is recommended to use AWS A5.14 welding wire ERNiCrMo-3 or AWS A5.11 welding rod ENiCrMo-3 for welding Al-6XN stainless steel.
