Inconel 625 ASTM B444 Seamless Pipe high chromium concentration gives strong resistance to oxidizing media, while the molybdenum and tungsten content offers good resistance to reducing media.
Alloy 625 Seamless Pipes have high resistance to oxidizing aqueous environments such as wet chlorine and mixes of nitric acid or oxidizing acids with chloride ions. The high chromium content of Inconel 625 Seamless Pipes provides strong resistance to wet corrosion by oxidizing conditions. It is conventional to evaluate the Critical Pitting and Critical Crevice Temperatures of alloys to determine their resistance to pitting and crevice attack.
