Incoloy 825 alloy pipes are built from basic elements like iron, nickel, and chromium, which provide the basicresistance to rusting and pitting in normal temperatures. This alloy has some added elements in smallportions like molybdenum, titanium, and copper which adds more substance to the product and increases itsworkability even in marine conditions. These chemical properties help the alloy to withstand the underwateienvironment and prevent it from Intergranular corrosion, crevice corrosion, pitting, stress corrosion cracking,and other corrosives.
Incoloy 825 seamless pipes are used in radioactive waste disposal, ship exhaust systems, acid production and other types of chloride-rich environments and high temperature applications. N08825 pipes have a minimum tensile strength of 772MPa and a minimum yield strength of 441MPa when annealed. The material can also be cold drawn with high strength. Cold drawn UNS N08825 pipes have a minimum tensile strength of 1000MPa and a minimum yield strength of 889MPa. ASTM B516 UNS 0825 pipes are used in sulfuric acid piping and vessels, phosphoric acid evaporators, and electrostatic precipitator electrode elements.
