Hastelloy C-4 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with excellent high temperature stability. It has high ductility and corrosion resistance. Its high temperature performance up to 1900°F (1038°C) makes it suitable for most chemical process applications in the "as is" welded condition. Its properties remain good even after aging at temperatures between 1200°F and 1900°F or 649°C and 1038°C. C-4 alloy resists grain growth and precipitation in the weld zone, making it well suited for chemical processes in the welded condition.

Corrosion-resistant Hastelloy alloys are widely used in the chemical processing industry. The need for reliable performance has led to its acceptance and development in the energy, health and environment, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and flue gas desulfurization industries.
