HASTELLOY C2000 The alloy is designed to resist more corrosive chemicals, including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and chlorofluoric acid. And the previously optimized NI-CR-MO alloy is resistant to corrosion in both environments. The combined action of molybdenum and copper (at 16% and 1.6% levels, respectively) gives the alloy excellent resistance to the corrosion of reducing media, while the high chromium content (23%WT) guarantees resistance to the corrosion of oxidizing media.

Corrosion Resistance of Alloys
1)Hastelloy C22 alloys are suitable for a variety of chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media.
2) The high content of molybdenum and chromium makes the alloy resistant to chloride ions, and tungsten further improves its corrosion resistance.
3)Hastelloy C22 is one of the only materials capable of resisting the corrosion of moist chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions.
4)The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to high concentrations of salt chloride solutions (such as ferric chloride and copper chloride).
