SS 441 sheet is employed for food and surgical chrome steel.Also known as marine grade stainless steel due to its increased resistance to chloride corrosion compared to type 441. SS 441 sheet is an additional low carbon grade of 441, generally used in stainless steel watches.
Its resistance to chloride attack suggests that it's typically elect to be used in marine atmospheres. SS 441 sheet is a molybdenum-bearing grade. This addition gives the better overall corrosion resistance properties than type 441 and higher creep strength at elevated temperatures.
