316LVM-1.4441
This steel is a classic austenitic stainless steel used in medical applications. It has been specially developed and optimized for interior fixtures. It is the equivalent of American VAR remelted steel, ASTM F 138, 316LVM steel. 1.4441 IMPLANT steel is ESR remelted and has an extremely low S content. Its composition ensures that it contains no delta ferrite and does not form ferromagnetic alpha-martensite, achieving the highest required cold working strength. It can be easily cold worked to high strength levels. This steel has good resistance to corrosion, especially pitting corrosion. And it showed a very high fatigue endurance limit at 10 7 cycles.

This 1.4441/316LVM – IMPLANT steel is ideally suited for numerous applications in the medical field and is particularly suitable for bone surgeries such as implants for joint replacements, internal fixation devices, high-strength guide wires for internal and external fixation.
