ASTM A249 TP317L heat exchanger tube is a chromium-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel with higher corrosion resistance than 304 and 316L stainless steel, especially stronger resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
The increase in molybdenum (Mo) content in ASTM A249 317L stainless steel welded tube significantly improves its corrosion resistance in reducing acid and chloride solutions. At the same time, the high content of chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni) also enhances its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
