Product Introduction
201 stainless steel coil is a lower-cost alternative to theconventional Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steels, such as 304 coil.
201 stainless steel coils have relatively lower ductility and formability compared to 301 stainless steel coil.
Grade 201 coil also has good welding characteristics and low temperature properties. 201 Stainless Steel Coil, is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel. It can be used in most applications as a substitute for 304. Type 201 is nonmagnetic in the annealed condition, but becomes slightly magnetic when cold worked. The rate of work hardening is similar to type 304, although type 201 develops somewhat higher yield strength while retaining equal ductility when cold worked. Toughness at low temperatures is excellent.
