Inconel 600 Hydraulic Tube is a nickel-based superalloy with excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength. It has a high melting point and is used in the nuclear industry, chemical industry and aerospace.

The following is an analysis from two aspects: high-temperature performance and melting point.
High-temperature performance analysis
Inconel 600 oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance
It exhibits excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance under high temperature conditions. This is attributed to its 72% nickel and 14-17% chromium content. At high temperatures of 600-1000℃, its oxidation rate is only about 50% of that of ordinary stainless steel, and its service life is significantly extended.
High-temperature strength of Inconel 600
It has excellent creep resistance. Its creep rupture strength can reach 85MPa at 800℃, which is much higher than other conventional alloys. This property enables it to maintain stable mechanical properties in harsh high-temperature environments.
Inconel 600 thermal expansion coefficient
The thermal expansion coefficient is 13.3×10^-6/℃ (20-1000℃), which matches well with most structural materials and helps reduce the risk of failure caused by thermal fatigue.
Melting point analysis
The melting point range of Inconel 600 is 1350-1400℃, which is significantly higher than ordinary steel and stainless steel. This high melting point property enables it to remain stable in high-temperature processing and high-heat environments.
Comparative data:
The melting point of ordinary stainless steel (such as 304) is about 1400-1450℃, but its high-temperature strength is much lower than that of Inconel 600.
The melting point of titanium alloy is about 1600℃, but it is easy to oxidize at high temperatures and cannot replace the comprehensive performance of Inconel 600.
Applications of Inconel 600:
Nuclear reactors: fuel pipes and heat exchangers, ensuring long life in high-temperature corrosive environments.
Chemical industry: heat exchange equipment resistant to high-temperature corrosion.
Aerospace: high-temperature engine parts.
