Hastelloy alloy is a commercial grade of a series of nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloys, mainly divided into two categories: nickel-chromium alloy and nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy.
Hastelloy alloy is known for its excellent corrosion resistance and thermal stability, and is widely used in aviation, chemistry and other fields. Specifically, Hastelloy alloys include Hastelloy B-2, Hastelloy C-4, Hastelloy C-22 and other grades. These alloys perform well in both reducing and oxidizing environments, especially hydrochloric acid and various oxidizing media. Inconel 718 is a high-strength nickel-based high-temperature alloy, the main components of which include nickel, chromium, iron, niobium and molybdenum. This alloy is known for its excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance, and is often used in aerospace, energy and automobile manufacturing.
Inconel 718 still maintains high strength and good toughness at 700°C, and is corrosion-resistant in both high and low temperature environments.
Inconel 718 is slightly less corrosion resistant than Hastelloy, but its high temperature strength and durability make it an excellent performer in high temperature environments.
