MONEL 400 (UNS N04400) nickel alloy seamless tubes for condensers

MONEL 400 (UNS N04400) nickel alloy seamless tubes for condensers
MONEL 400 (UNS N04400) nickel-copper alloy seamless tubes are ideal for condensers due to their excellent resistance to seawater, sulfuric acid, and alkaline corrosion. They offer high strength and toughness over a wide temperature range, along with good ductility and resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Their high thermal conductivity also benefits heat exchanger applications. They are widely used in high-stress, high-heat applications such as marine and chemical processing, heat exchangers, and condensers.
What are the specifications for Monel 400 pipe?
This grade of nickel-copper alloy is available in ASTM B165 and B725 specifications. Pipe is available in seamless, welded, electric-resistance-welded, and fabricated forms. ASME SB165 Monel 400 seamless pipe conforms to ASTM, ASME, and API standards and is available in nominal inside diameters ranging from 15 inches to 150 inches.

ASME SB163 MONEL 400 (UNS N04400) Nickel Alloy Seamless Tubing for Heat Exchangers and Condensers
ASME SB163 MONEL 400 (UNS N04400) is a premium nickel-copper alloy seamless tubing designed for critical heat transfer applications in highly corrosive environments. Manufactured in strict accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, this alloy contains 67% nickel and 30% copper, offering excellent resistance to seawater, acids (including hydrofluoric and sulfuric acids), alkalis, and high-temperature steam. Its unique metallurgical structure makes it less susceptible to chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking, while its excellent thermal conductivity (21.8 W/m·K) enables efficient heat transfer. This product is widely used in shell-and-tube heat exchangers, condensers, and other pressure vessels where reliability in corrosive media is critical, particularly in chemical processing, offshore oil and gas, marine engineering, and power generation.
Monel 400 Tubing Heat Exchanger/Condenser Tubes
Monel 400 heat exchanger/condenser tubes, also known as UNS N04400 heat exchanger/condenser tubes, are a copper-nickel alloy with excellent toughness and strength. This grade of heat exchanger exhibits good ductility and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Furthermore, it can withstand temperatures up to 540°C in oxidizing atmospheres and maintains good performance at low temperatures. These heat exchangers/condensers are primarily used to transfer heat energy from a hotter gas/liquid to a cooler gas/liquid. Therefore, these heat exchangers/condensers can transport both liquid solutions and gases. These heat exchangers are easily hot-worked and cold-formed. Furthermore, they are annealed at 870°C to 980°C and weldable using a variety of welding processes.
Monel 400 heat exchanger tubes are specifically designed to provide efficient heat transfer and long service life in so-called "corrosive" thermal environments. Not only do these tubes offer the thermal conductivity required for these conditions, but they also resist stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and fatigue, even under extreme temperature fluctuations, unlike most other metals. Combined with their strong mechanical properties, it's no surprise that Monel 400 heat exchanger tubes are a popular solution for a wide range of applications, including marine systems, petrochemical plants, and power generation units.
