Inconel 725 material performance analysis and research
Overview of superalloys;
High-temperature alloys are composed of chromium, molybdenum, cobalt, nickel, titanium, tungsten, boron, cerium, zirconium and other elements. They have excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance, excellent heat resistance, corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance, and good Comprehensive properties such as tensile strength and fracture toughness, also known as "superalloys", are a type of metal materials that can work in extreme environments for a long time. Therefore, they are widely used in aerospace, marine ships, petrochemicals, nuclear industries and energy. field.
Let's get back to the point: Inconel 725 high temperature alloy
Inconel 725 alloy is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. After aging heat treatment, the strength, plasticity and tensile properties of the alloy are greatly improved. The alloy is also highly resistant to stress corrosion. Process performance and requirements:
Thermal processing
1. Thermal processing temperature is 1200-900℃, and the cooling method is water quenching or rapid air cooling.
2. Obtain good corrosion resistance and optimal crystal structure, and heat treatment is required after hot processing.
3. Materials can be fed directly into the heating furnace.
Cold work
1. Cold worked materials should be annealed or solution heat treated. The work hardening rate of 725 alloy is close to that of austenitic stainless steel, and similar processing equipment can be used.
2. Intermediate annealing should be performed during cold working.
3. When the cold working amount is greater than 5%, the workpiece needs to be solution treated.
4. In order to reduce material wear, the mold should be made of alloy tool steel, carbide or cast steel.
Parts heat treatment process
The heat treatment process of parts should be carried out according to the heat treatment system of the corresponding material standard. Annealing of sheet and strip parts should be carried out in a protective atmosphere.
Inconel725 application fields
Widely used in chemical process industries, aerospace engineering, marine engineering and pollution control equipment as a thin structural component with good corrosion resistance and high strength.
