ASTM B167 Inconel 718 Alloy Pipe Encyclopedia

Gnee Steel is a professional manufacturer of Inconel 718 alloy pipes. Packaging options for Gnee Steel's Inconel 718 pipes include: steel strapping: pipes with an outer diameter not exceeding 3 inches are typically bundled together with polypropylene film to prevent rusting during sea transport, then secured with steel straps; wooden crates/crates: pipes are usually packaged in wooden crates or crates for protection during transport, especially for longer or larger diameter pipes; seaworthy export packaging: suppliers typically use standard seaworthy export packaging methods, which may include various materials and techniques to protect the pipes during transport; and tarpaulin packaging: to prevent rainwater, seawater, etc., from seeping into the export wooden crate packaging during transport. Gnee Steel specializes in the production and sales of alloy materials. Gnee Steel's Inconel 718 is widely used in aerospace, chemical, power, automotive, and nuclear energy fields, and customized alloy material solutions can be provided according to customer needs.

ASTM B167 Inconel 718 Alloy Pipe Encyclopedia

ASTM B167 Inconel 718 pipe (UNS N07718, W.Nr. 2.4668) is a high-quality precipitation-hardening nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum superalloy pipe designed for extreme temperature environments ranging from low temperatures to approximately 1300°F (704°C). It is renowned for its exceptional strength, high corrosion resistance, and excellent weldability (resistant to post-weld cracking), making it a critical material in the aerospace, gas turbine, and nuclear industries.

Does Inconel 718 undergo work hardening?

Inconel 718 is an extremely difficult material to process because of its high toughness, low thermal conductivity, and tendency to work harden. Furthermore, as a work-hardening material, Inconel 718 undergoes various plastic deformations during processing.

What is Inconel 718 Pipe?

Inconel 718 pipe is a nickel-based alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. It's an alloy used in piping applications requiring corrosion-resistant materials, such as aerospace and nuclear engines. Inconel 718 pipe is weldable in both annealed and precipitation-hardened states and is easy to process.

Furthermore, it is lightweight, which is highly advantageous for many industries. This material also exhibits excellent creep resistance and boasts some of the world's highest tensile strengths. It can be used in temperatures ranging from low temperatures to over 1200 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 650 degrees Celsius). Inconel 718 has a wide range of applications.
