Why Monel 400?
Monel 400 (also known as alloy 400) is an attractive option for industries where corrosion resistance is of the highest priority.
Monel 400 is resistant to both steam and seawater as well as highly caustic solutions such as sulfuric, hydrochloric, and hydrofluoric acids when they are deaerated. It exhibits excellent weldability and can withstand very large amounts of pressure and weight. The alloy has great mechanical properties at subzero temperatures, and with a melting point of 2370° – 2460° F, products can be used at temperatures up to 1000° C.
