A790 S32750 Super Duplex Steel Seamless Pipe for Power Generation

A790 S32750 Super Duplex Steel Seamless Pipe for Power Generation

ASTM A790 UNS S32750 super duplex seamless pipe is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant material ideally suited for power generation applications due to its excellent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion. Key properties include high mechanical strength, combining the characteristics of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels, and suitability for harsh environments and temperatures below 316°C (600°F). These pipes conform to ASTM A790/ASME SA790 standards and are available in a variety of sizes, specifications, and surface finishes.

What is ASTM A790 S32750 material?

ASTM A790 UNS S32750 pipe belongs to the super-duplex stainless steel category. Because its yield strength is twice that of austenitic stainless steel, it can be used to manufacture thinner gauge pipe. Its microstructure is 50% ferrite and 50% austenite.

UNS S32750 is a high-chromium, high-molybdenum, high-nitrogen, low-carbon stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance and high strength. It performs well in high-chloride and acidic environments and is widely used in the chemical, oil, and gas industries. Heat treatment alters the structure and properties of UNS S32750 through heating and cooling processes. Carbon is a key alloying element in UNS S32750 and significantly influences its properties.
