INCONEL 601GC alloy is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with the addition of aluminum, zirconium and nitrogen. High levels of nickel and chromium give the alloy excellent high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. The aluminum content further enhances its oxidation resistance.

INCONEL 601GC alloy is a grain-controlled version of INCONEL 601 alloy (UNS N06601). Zirconium and nitrogen in INCONEL 601GC alloy inhibit grain growth at high temperatures. Grain size stability is an important factor in achieving optimal high-temperature performance and service life.

The properties of INCONEL 601GC alloy are particularly suitable for seam-welded roller tubes in roller-hearth furnaces for the production of glazed ceramic tiles. The alloy has sufficient strength and resistance to oxidation and corrosion to meet the long-term, economical operation of these continuous-firing ceramic tile kilns.
