Incoloy alloy 945X (UNS N09945) is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant alloy designed for demanding applications in the oil and gas industry. The properties of this age-hardened nickel-iron-chromium alloy are enhanced by its inclusion of molybdenum, copper, niobium, titanium and aluminum. The alloy's nickel content is sufficient to resist chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. The combination of nickel with molybdenum and copper also gives 945X alloy excellent resistance to general corrosion from reducing media. Molybdenum also has the ability to resist localized corrosion (pitting and crevice corrosion).
Incoloy 28 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive environments. It has good corrosion resistance under acidic conditions (such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid) and alkaline conditions (such as sodium hydroxide, ammonia).
