Tantalum ASTM B521 Grade R05252 Seamless Pipe
UNS Grade R05200 is unalloyed tantalum, vacuum melted, UNS Grade R05252 is tantalum alloyed with 2.5% tungsten, vacuum melted, UNS Grade R05255 is tantalum alloyed with 10% tungsten, vacuum melted, UNS Grade R05240 is tantalum alloyed with 60% tantalum, 40% columbium, electron beam furnace or vacuum arc melting, or both. Seamless pipes should be manufactured using any seamless method, and welded pipes should be flat-rolled products manufactured using automatic or semi-automatic fusion welding processes without adding filler metal. Mechanical properties such as ultimate tensile strength, yield strength and elongation shall be determined by tensile, flaring and reverse flattening tests. Non-destructive testing such as water pressure test, air pressure test, helium leak detection test, ultrasonic test and so on should also be carried out.
